Gargellen is located amidst impressive mountain ranges, directly at the Swiss border. The impressive summit Madrisa marks the end of the valley and thus is the origin of the hotel name. The valley separates two mighty mountain ranges: the Rätikon and the Silvretta. It stretches all the way to the Schlappiner Joch. For cars, Gargellen is the final destination – from there on, it’s all nature as far as the eye can see. The Madrisa tour is the hiking highlight, reaching the Swiss renowned health resort Klosters – and to top it off with a contrast, a visit to the pristine Walser village St. Antönien. Gargellen is a place of tranquility, relaxation, and inner reflection.

Sports are as diverse as our guests’ preferences. Only a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you’ll find 2 tennis courts for free use. The perfect green for golf enthusiasts can definitely be found at the close by golf courses in Tschagguns (12 km), Partenen (12 km), Brand (35 km) and Braz (30 km). You can also discover the beautiful surroundings on horseback with local riding stable Mateera.
