Hotel Madrisa is a family-run hotel in the charming mountain village of Gargellen, in the Montafon region, situated at an altitude of around 1,400 meters. Here, guests can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, enjoying hiking in summer and skiing in winter amidst pristine nature. The hotel is a hidden gem, especially beloved by its loyal international guests.

Our cuisine, proudly awarded two toques, emphasizes high-quality, regional products, such as meat from our own organic farm. Combined with our team’s dedication, we create a welcoming atmosphere that blends exclusivity with warmth.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide active food and beverage service
  • Offer friendly and attentive guest care
  • Perform standard pre- and post-service tasks like mis en place, cleaning, etc.

Your profile

  • Completed hospitality training (preferred, but not required)
  • Ideally, you have experience as Commis de Rang or in a similar role is required
  • Ideally, experience in 4-star vacation hotels
  • Good German and English skills (min. B1-B2)

  • Respectful, friendly demeanor with guests and colleagues

Employment and Compensation

  • Full-time Winter Seasonal Position
  • Potential for long-term collaboration if mutually agreed
  • Work schedule: 6 days/week, 48 hours total
  • Monthly net salary: upon request
  • Overtime compensated via pay or time off by agreement
  • Personal tips can be kept immediately; a shared tip pool is distributed at the end of the season

  • Prepare food by cutting, peeling, washing, and handling dishes
  • Prepare breakfast items for the following day
  • Support other kitchen areas as needed (agreed individually)
  • General prep (mis en place) and cleaning tasks

Your profile

  • Experience as a kitchen assistant or in a similar role
  • Good German skills (min. A2)

  • Oversee the work of the Commis de Rang and manage your station
  • Take and communicate orders efficiently
  • Provide active food and beverage service
  • Offer friendly, knowledgeable guest service, especially regarding beverages (with a focus on wines)
  • Perform standard pre- and post-service tasks like mis en place, cleaning, etc.
  • Ensure accurate billing

Your profile

  • Completed hospitality training (preferred, but not required)
  • Experience as Chef de Rang is an advantage
  • Ideally, you have several years of experience as a Commis de Rang or in a comparable position
  • Ideally, experience in 4-star vacation hotels
  • Good German and English skills (min. B1-B2)

  • Completed professional training as a confectioner/pâtissier
  • Experience is an advantage
  • Creativity, precision, and attention to detail
  • Good German skills (at least B1), English skills
